Class Styles Offered and Descriptions

Prosper

A gentle hatha style class focusing on slowly flowing from pose to pose and linking the movement with the breath. The instructor will offer a variety of modifications to encourage participation of everyone. We do sitting, standing, and inverted postures, and suggest challenging variations for more advanced students, yet fun and non-intimidating options for newer students. All levels are welcome! 

Thrive

A Vinyasa flow style class. Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Our Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Flow yoga classes tend to be more vigorous and aerobic, and classes can have a variety of music and themes. All levels are welcome! 

Fire Flow

Vinyasa class that includes flow elements, core work, standing series and a relaxing wind-down ending. Advanced variations as well as inversion options are offered and welcome. The studio is heated to about 85-90 degrees using beneficial infrared heat. All levels welcome.

Yin

Enjoy the feelings of rejuvenation and steadiness that arise from a Yin Yoga practice as you slow down, move from noise to silence, from agitation to calm, from complexity to simplicity. Engage the body’s natural healing power as you actively nourish and harmonize the body's vital life force or chi. As the whole body rests and opens with long held poses, the natural healing power of chi is used to rejuvenate and repair the area of focus. All levels are welcome!

Yoga Foundations

The foundations class introduces fundamental principles of alignment, and breath work. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. If you have never tried yoga this class is perfect for you and is designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga as well as those seeking continued understanding of basic yoga poses.

Mellow

Enjoy the feelings of rejuvenation and steadiness that arise from a Yin Yoga practice as you slow down, while adding into the mix the movements of a hatha class. Engage the body’s natural healing power as you actively nourish and harmonize the body while waking the muscles up and becoming aware of your own body during this Mellow flow. Let’s take things nice and slow and glide as we mix smooth movement and healing stillness.

Buti Yoga

Buti® Yoga is a soulful blend of traditional asana poses, muscle conditioning, plyometric movements, cardio-intensive tribal dance and deep abdominal toning. This all-in-one movement method tones and sculpts the body while facilitating complete inner transformation. It is practiced to high energy and upbeat music allowing you to free your mind, body, and spirit. Buti® empowers you by stimulating and cleansing the body and Chakra system – facilitating detoxification on physical, energetic and emotional levels. Buti is an Indian Marathi word that means “A cure hidden beneath the surface or kept secret”.

Buti Foundations

This Buti® Yoga beginners class takes you through the core movements of what makes Buti so unique and prepares you for a full on Buti flow. A regula Buti Yoga flow is a soulful blend of traditional asana poses, muscle conditioning, plyometric movements, cardio-intensive tribal dance and deep abdominal toning. Prepare for a slowed down version, step by step class, with fun upbeat music and lots of laughs!
Just as in our regular yoga classes, you’ll begin where you are and grow at your own pace. We encourage you to let loose, have fun, be your full self and allow yourself to be present. Class may range from 60-75 minutes.
